New forecasts by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), released in the October World Economic Outlook report, say it. The forecast for this year remained unchanged in the report - 2.6%, infotag.md reports. Experts expect that in the following years, including 2029, growth will remain within 5%. In their opinion, inflation will also be of the same value, which corresponds to the declared goal of the National Bank. As for the forecast of Moldova’s current account deficit, in 2024 it will be 11.2% of GDP, in 2025 it will be 10.7%, and by 2029 it will decrease to 8.5% of GDP. The World Bank expects Moldova’s GDP to grow by 2.8% in 2024 and by 3.9% in 2025. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - by 3.2% and 3.5%, respectively. And according to the calculations of the Ministry of Economic Development of Moldova, it will be 2.5% and 3%.
