Home / Economy / Osmochescu: We Will Help Producers Working with Russia and Belarus Find Alternative Markets
Moldova has joined most of the international sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus. Nevertheless, trade relations with the two countries continue to some extent.
“Overall, around 6% of our trade is linked to these two states. However, there are international agreements that our producers rely on, so we must take an additional step to protect their interests and help redirect them to new markets in the event that the markets of the Russian Federation and Belarus become unavailable,” Osmochescu said during a debate hosted by IPN, as reported by logos-press.md.
The official noted that the process of adaptation and export diversification is complex and requires measures that are not always visible to the general public.
“It involves much more than what can be seen on the surface when it comes to our work in supporting entrepreneurs,” the deputy prime minister added.
