Seven Turkish citizens, declared “undesirable” and sent to Turkey, were not extradited at the request of that country. These people were declared “undesirable” and were expelled, as provided by the law of the Republic of Moldova. This statement was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the “Puterea a patra” programme on the N4 TV channel, reports ipn.md The prime minister said that at a meeting with his Turkish counterpart he received a request to close the Orizont High School. “My answer was firm that the Orizont High School is an institution that operates within the law. Therefore, as long as this institution works legally, it will work for so long, and no one will tell us what to do with this institution. And we have kept our word”, said the prime minister. According to him, for the second time president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan made himself the same request and it was again rejected. “These teachers were not extradited at the request of the Turkish side. These people were declared undesirable persons and were expelled, as provided by the law of the Republic of Moldova”, the politician added. As for the privatization of the state-owned company Air Moldova, the prime minister noted that this was done within the framework of the law. According to him, the management of the company was bad. “I, as a Prime Minister, hardly received information about its business activities. The then minister did not really want to cooperate and provide this information. At the same time, colleagues told me that things were not going very well in the company, and I had to send a financial inspection to get data that did not make me happy”, the prime minister said.
