The Republic of Moldova owns an exclusive position, as our country has a free trade regime with both the CIS countries and the countries of the European Union. Moreover, we are the only country that has received observer status at the EAEU thus, getting access to the wide Eurasian market. This the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon announced in an exclusive interview to the Mir TV channel, a-tv.md reports “We are the first country to receive observer status in the EAEU. The market and the processes that take place in the union within migration policy and the energy sector are very interesting for us. At the end of last year, we submitted documents, came up with the initiative to become members of the Eurasian Bank. Not only members of the Eurasian Union can enter the Eurasian Bank. We applied together with Hungary, which is a member of the European Union. All these are additional opportunities for the Republic of Moldova. I think this is interesting both for our economic agents and for our citizens. I think this is interesting for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union because they can use Moldova as a platform to move to other parts of the world. Because Moldova has an exclusive situation. We have a free trade regime with the CIS countries, we have a free trade regime with the European Union,” the Moldovan leader said.
