Kiev, Tbilisi and Chisinau asked to provide the financial support to the Eastern Partnership regions. The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova signed a joint appeal to the European Commission with a request to provide financial support to the regions of the Eastern Partnership as part of the next long-term financial perspective of the European Union for 2021-2027, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said on Saturday, February 15. The heads of the diplomatic departments called on the EU, within the framework of strategic budget planning for the next seven years, to “take into account the scope and ambitiousness of the reforms” planned by Kiev, Tbilisi and Chisinau. The Ministers recognized the importance of providing for an increase in resources for the needs of the countries participating in the Eastern Partnership that would meet their European commitments and priorities in relations with the EU. Recall, the further development of the Eastern Partnership was discussed in Stockholm in November 2019. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko said that our country is seeking deeper “ectoral integration with the EU.”
