In particular, the commitment of the Moldovan authorities to identifying priority areas of cooperation with NATO for 2020-2022 under the new Individual Partnership Action Plan was emphasized. For his part, Mircea Geoana reaffirmed the alliance’s support for partnership with the Republic of Moldova, expressing support for the organization of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova and respect for the status of neutrality of the country. A NATO spokesman praised Moldova's contribution to enhancing security in Europe by participating in the KFOR peacekeeping operation in the Kosovo region. The readiness of the alliance was also expressed to continue supporting the processes of reform and modernization in the Republic of Moldova based on the requests of the Moldovan authorities.
