The Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists (EBCS) claims to have developed measures and a clear view of modernizing the medical system in the country and, above all, by increasing investment. At a press briefing, PSRM deputy Vladimir Odnostalco said that the pre-election goals aimed at public health have been developed and are ready for implementation immediately after a new government is formed after the July 11 parliamentary elections. These include the full provision of medical institutions with qualified personnel; narrowing the gap in access to quality health services between different groups of the population, including between urban and rural residents. EBCS promises the use of modern digital and information systems in the healthcare sector; spreading a healthy lifestyle; mass diagnostics of the health of the population at all stages of life, as well as improving the rehabilitation system for patients with chronic diseases. In the area of ​​pharmaceutical safety, in order to expand the range of medicines available to the population, this political formation promises to support local manufacturers and attract international producers. In addition, a promise was made to introduce a drug tracking system, create a system for collecting expired drugs from the population, and improve the system of reimbursable drugs. Rita Manole, candidate from the Communists and Socialists Bloc, has confirmed the goal of increasing wages in the health care system by 40%. According to her, financial motivation will help retain specialists in the health care system and prevent their outflow. "Each village or commune will have a first-aid post and a pharmacy. Children under 18, pregnant women, mothers within one year after the birth of a child, as well as pensioners will be provided free dental services. In rural areas, at enterprises and educational institutions, annual preventive examinations of the population will be resumed. The Doctor for You program will be significantly expanded," EBCS promises. Another candidate for deputy, Ekaterina Medvedeva, told about the measures to motivate young health professionals. In this regard, it is envisaged to strengthen the system of material resources for young specialists with medical and pharmaceutical education, working in rural areas. According to EBCS, students from rural areas will be admitted to medical schools free of charge and they will be provided with free places in hostels.
