Home / Society / Tirdea: The PAS Promotes the most Antisocial Policy in the Last 10 Years
Bogdan Tirdea, a deputy from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, claims that the PAS has been promoting the most antisocial policy in the last 10 years. “The pro-presidential PAS promotes the most antisocial policy in the last 10 years. They deceived pensioners, teachers, doctors. They deprived mothers of normal benefits, accusing them of having too much maternity leave! They spit in the face of the poor! And we are convinced that citizens will respond to them in the same way!”, – Bogdan Tirdea, a deputy from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, made such a statement at today’s briefing, reports aif.md Tirdea recalled that in 2020-2021, representatives of the PAS promised to increase pensions for everyone to 2 thousand lei, and Maia Sandu stated before the elections that she would reduce the presidency expenses, form a budget “for the people”, ask international partners for money to support pensioners, find money to support farmers. However, in reality everything happens differently. The minimum pension of 2 thousand lei was received by more than two times fewer pensioners. The indexation of pensions twice a year and a one-time allowance of 1,000 lei twice a year were abolished. The retirement age has been raised to 63 years, as a result, 60 thousand pensioners will not be able to retire this year. The socialist drew attention to the widening gap between the pensions of the “rich” and the “poor” in 2022. Thus, according to the Ministry of Social Protection, the pension of judges will amount to 24,551 lei, prosecutors – 19,488 lei, ministers – 11,925 lei, deputies - 9,995 lei. And the average age pension in the country is 2,792 lei. The average pension of judges will increase by 3,462 lei, prosecutors – by 2,049 lei, ministers – by 1,618 lei. The rest of the citizens – for 667 lei. “That’s all the solidarity of the PAS. They simply deceived pensioners and condemned them to poverty,” Bogdan Tirdea noted. The deputy also cited other data indicating that the PAS government ignores the needs of the majority of citizens and does not fulfill the promises made before the elections, bringing the mockery of people to a new level of absurdity.
