Moldova’s Ministry of Finance has developed a Draft Law on State Budget Adjustment for 2022. According to the forecast of the draft amendment to the budget law, there will be no economic growth in the country this year.
As noted, this is due, among other things, about 18% reduction in agricultural production compared with 2021, reports mold-street.com
At the same time, the year-end inflation rate will be 33.8%.
Consequently, although average monthly wages will increase by 13% and will exceed 10,000 lei, real wages will decrease by 12.8% compared to prices.
As previously reported, the draft law on the adjustment of the state budget for 2022 provides for an increase of revenues by over 5.2 billion lei (10%) and reduction of the budget deficit by 2.14 billion lei.
