Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu said that the myth about natural gas and light coming into Moldova only from the Russian Federation has been dispelled. “The Republic of Moldova has for the first time imported natural gas through a reverse system, from west to east, thus debunking the myth that natural gas and light can only come from the Russian Federation,” Spinu wrote in his Telegram channel. He also said that Energocom bought 5.6 million cubic meters of natural gas on Wednesday, which were transferred through Slovakia, at the border with Ukraine. They will complete the country’s reserve stock, which amounts to 157 million cubic meters. “What at first glance seemed to be destroying us now makes us stronger. As we promised, by standing in solidarity, trying to save money, we will successfully overcome this winter, and finish the cold season with our heads held high, stronger and more energy-independent. I thank the Energocom team for all their efforts during this tough period,” Spinu added. Point
