The Russian Embassy in Moldova expressed concern about the increasing bans on the entry of Russian citizens into the Republic after Alexander Malkevich, who arrived in Chisinau, was refused at the border on Wednesday, press service of the Embassy states, reports tass.ru “The Embassy of the Russian Federation is extremely concerned about the frequent bans for Russian citizens on the entry to the Republic of Moldova  <...> We fully share the opinion that the Republic of Moldova has a significant tourist potential and is one of the attractive destinations for Russians to travel, we note that such actions of the Moldovan partners do not contribute to the increase of the tourist flow from our country and the harmonization of bilateral relations”, the message reads. As Malkevich told TASS after returning to Moscow, he was accused of violating the rules of stay of foreigners in Moldova. Upon arrival, he was immediately detained by the Information and security service, which refused to call the Russian citizen representatives of the Consulate and Embassy.
