A number of proposed bills aimed at punishing Moscow for its alleged political interference in the American elections.
A bloc of centrist U.S. House Democrats on Friday, June 21, threw their support behind a number of proposed sanctions against sovereign debt, banks and Russian LNG projects, Bloomberg reported.
In a statement the so-called Blue Dog Democrats proposed a number of bills to punish Russia for interfering in the American elections.
In addition to sanctions, it is proposed to use already existing laws to punish for interfering with elections, increase the transparency of political advertising, and require paper ballots to be used by all states to vote.
