The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to withdraw from Parliament the draft law for approval of the National Development Strategy Moldova-2030, with the purpose of adjusting it to the new political vision and endorsement by all the responsible and involved factors in implementation of the strategy provisions. The decision was made at a government meeting on August 14. On August 14, during the governmental meeting it was decided to amend the National Development Strategy Moldova-2030. Also the Cabinet of Ministers wants to get a report from everyone who takes part in the implementation of the Strategy. The Government press release reads that the Strategy will be adjusted it to the new political vision, without specifying the adjustments. On November 8, 2018, the National Development Strategy Moldova-2030 was approved by the government of Pavel Filip. The priority areas were: income increasing, improving living and working conditions. At the same time, the experts were skeptical of the strategy, noting that the new strategy, like all previous ones, is unlikely to be implemented. We remind that Moldova has already adopted strategies that did not give the expected result (Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (2000), Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (2004-2006), National Development Strategy for 2008–2011 and National Development Strategy Moldova 2020.
