MPs from Ilan Șor’s team registered an appeal to the Constitutional Court, in which they ask to check the constitutionality of President Maia Sandu’s refusal to sign a decree appointing the head of Gagauzia, Evghenia Guțul, as a member of the government.
“The President of the Republic of Moldova deliberately and unjustifiably refuses to approve the head of Gagauzia as a government member, despite the binding constitutional and legal norms in this respect”, unimedia.info reports.
The appeal says that the head of state violates the principle of legality enshrined in the Constitution.
