North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at the summit in Hanoi refused to complete denuclearization, which is sought by the United States, so no agreement was reached, said U.S. President Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News. “They wanted to de-nuke certain areas and I wanted everything. The sanctions are there and I didn’t want to give up the sanctions, unless we had a real program. And they’re not ready for that and I understand that”, Trump said. “We spent two very good days in Hanoi and I think that perhaps none of us were ready” the American president said. He suggested that both sides were dissatisfied with the results of the negotiations. At the same time, Donald Trump noted that Kim Jong-un “does not want to conduct nuclear tests” and “that means a lot”. The second U.S. and DPRK summit was held in the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, February, 27-28. During the meeting, Kim Jong-un asked for the lifting of sanctions on North Korea. The summit ended without signing any final document. The U.S. president said that the “documents for signing were ready”, but were not signed, because the parties did not reach a compromise.
