In 2017 Moscow and Ankara signed a contract to supply four S-400 to Turkey from Russia. they are about two and a half billion dollars. Deliveries were expected to begin in the spring of 2020. However, the parties agreed to supply the first S-400 in July this year. The deal led to tension in Turkish-American relations. Washington fears that the Kremlin can get classified data about F-35 fighter jets, which are produced for NATO. The U.S. also drew attention to the incompatibility of the S-400, unlike the American Patriot, with the NATO air defense. The United States Senate said that if Turkey places S-400 on its territory, it may be slapped with sanctions. Radio Liberty
