Andrei Bogdan believes that it is necessary to negotiate about peace in the Donbas directly with Russia, but before to hear the opinion of Ukrainians. The head of the presidential Administration Andrei Bogdan supports talks with Russia to end the conflict in the Donbas. 1 "I do not know (how to take the Donbas back – ed.), but it is necessary to make arrangements if you want peace. 1 2 The head of the Administration noted that he did not consider the self-proclaimed "republics" as an independent entity and stated the need for negotiating with Russia. The politician stressed that he considers it necessary to to hear the opinion of people on this issue. “I do not see anything against conducting of certain head count before the Verkhovna Rada or the President adopt a decision. You may be smart enough, but you don’t know the reaction of the people. Public opinion will help to avoid a split of Ukraine into two parts”, – Bogdan added. In his opinion, anti-Ukrainian positions, in particular refusal of the annexed Crimea will be inadmissible at negotiations with Russia. “I think it’s a hard way, but we have to follow it”, he said. Earlier Bogdan said that the Crimea belongs to Ukraine, and it is out of the question. The head of the presidential Administration believes that journalists should not even ask questions about the Crimea. During the forum on May 23 Zelensky denied the possibility of negotiating with Russia.
