More than Half of Coronavirus Patients Became Infected inside Moldova

The number of people In Moldova who became infected with coronavirus domestically exceeded the number of people who became infected abroad. The total number of infected per night has not changed. This was announced at a briefing on March 21 by health minister Viorica Dumbraveanu. Dumbraveanu said that 559 people were tested for coronavirus in Moldova. 66 cases of infection were confirmed, with 35 people being infected with coronavirus in Moldova and 31 abroad. Chisinau has 27 patients with coronavirus. More than half of them, i.e.16 people, were infected with the virus in the city. In Hincesti, there are15 patients with coronavirus, 14 of them became infected with the virus in Moldova. Also, four cases of coronavirus were recorded in Soroca. Three cases of coronavirus were detected in Ialoveni, Stefan Voda, and Singerei. Two cases of coronavirus were detected in Cantemir, Anenii Noi and Causeni. Cahul, Leovo, Bassarabka and Calarasi each have one detected case of coronavirus. The majority of cases - 58 people are in the Toma Ciorba hospital. The condition of 47 of them is assessed by doctors as normal, and 7 as severe. Recall, according to the Ministry of Health on the evening of March 20, another 17 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Moldova. The total number of cases is 66, including several children and a pregnant woman. An emergency doctor also became infected with coronavirus.
