On Tuesday, June 1, representatives of the Ministry of Health announced soon about 45 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will be delivered to the Republic of Moldova through the COVAX platform. At the same time, health authorities say that Moldova is also negotiating with other manufacturers on purchasing batches of COVID-19 vaccine,  zdg.md reported. “Approximately 45 thousand doses of the vaccine will be delivered to the Republic of Moldova through the COVAX platform. The vaccine shipment is scheduled for this week. Our country is negotiating with the COVAX platform, but also with other manufacturers on the supply of vaccines,” Alexei Ceban, coordinator of the communication group on immunization against COVID-19, said. Alexei Cheban said that at the moment 416 814 doses of the vaccine have been introduced in Moldova. This is half of the vaccine doses received by our country to date. The vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Moldova began on March 2.
